HELMETS MUST BE WORN ON TURTLE RIDES
The Turtles are a group of mature adults riding on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the spring, summer and autumn months under the auspices of Gateway Council-Hosteling International http://www.moonlightramble.com/. The group has no officers, and ride leaders volunteer as needed. Ride leaders select the route for each ride and a schedule of rides is presented on this website as well as on the Hosteling International Website http://www.moonlightramble.com/. Descriptions for each ride are given. We generally try to avoid hilly routes, and a lunch stop is included in most rides. Rides average 25-30 miles and are geared to a leisurely pace. The group takes a water/rest break approximately every five miles. Self-sufficiency is appreciated, but there is almost always someone available to change a tire and make minor mechanical repairs and adjustments. Bring money for lunch! Come join us!
